Wachovia Bank Awards $30,000 to Legal Aid's Educational Advocacy Project

West Palm Beach, FL — The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, Inc. has been awarded a substantial grant of $30,000 from Wachovia Bank, N.A.

The funds awarded by Wachovia will be used by Legal Aid's Educational Advocacy Project to ensure positive educational outcomes for disabled children attending Palm Beach County's "lower" performing schools.

"The Legal Aid Society plays an important role in the Palm Beach County Community" said Harry W. Weede, Jr., Palm Beach County Regional President for Wachovia Bank, N.A. "By supporting Legal Aid's Educational Advocacy Project, Wachovia can help ensure that disadvantaged, disabled public school children in Palm Beach County are able to succeed academically."
