Legal Aid Society Elects New Officers for 2008

West Palm Beach, FL – At it’s January 2008 Board of Directors Meeting, the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County elected its new officers for 2008. The individuals selected were Mariano Garcia, a partner in Gonzalez, Porcher, Albear & Garcia (President); Jeffrey A. Devore, a partner in Devore & Devore P.A. (Vice-President); Miriam Acosta-Castriz, principal Miriam Acosta-Castriz, P.A. (Secretary); Jerry Beer, partner in Casey, Ciklin, Lubitz, Martens, McBane & O’Connell (Treasurer) and Gary Woodfield a partner in Edwards, Angell, Palmer & Dodge, LLP (Immediate Past-President).

The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, Inc., founded in 1949, is a private nonprofit, 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to providing free legal services to disadvantaged children, families, elders and individuals living in Palm Beach County. Projects include the Domestic Violence Project, Juvenile Advocacy Project, Foster Children's Project, Ryan White Project, Fair Housing Project and Elder Law Project.
