And welcomes new board members:
John Howe joined the Board in October 2005. He is an associate with the Boca Raton firm of Lavalle Brown Ronan & Mullins P.A. John is a graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans and holds both an M.B.A. and his J.D. from the University of Florida. John started his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in West Palm Beach where he served as Division Chief and felony trial attorney from 1998 until 2000. In 2001 he joined Lavalle where he concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense, commercial and civil litigation and immigration cases. John served as President of the Palm Beach Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (2004-2005), is a member of the Academy of Florida Trial lawyers, the F. Malcolm Cunningham Bar Association, the National Bar Association and serves on the Board of Directors of the Sickle Cell Foundation of Palm Beach County.
Nancy Lambrecht joined the Legal Aid Board of Directors in October 2005. Nancy is the former interim director of the Armory Art Center and the past executive director of the Children's Place at Home Safe. She has served as the executive staff director for the State of Florida's District 9 Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services and as the district's program administrator for Children's Alcohol, Drug Abuse and Mental Health programs. Nancy received her Master of Science degree in psychology and biology from the University of Massachusetts. She brings to the Board over 20 years experience working for government as well as not-for-profit organizations in Palm Beach County. Nancy has twice been nominated as the Junior League's Woman Volunteer of the Year and has twice been honored by the Florida Medical Alliance for her fundraising efforts.
Christian Langenstein is a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch's Global Client Group on Palm Beach where he specializes in providing customized investment and financial planning services to High Net Worth individuals and families. Born in Maryland, Christian was raised in Germany until age 15. He attended the University of Maryland where he received his B.S. degree in finance and the Kellogg School of management at Northwestern University where he earned his M.B.A. Christian came to Florida after graduate school and started his career with the High Net Worth Group at Lehman Brothers on Palm Beach. He serves on the planning committee for Arthur's Jam which annually raises money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Michelle Suskauer is a partner in the Suskauer Law Firm with her husband Scott Suskauer. A native New Yorker, Michelle attended Boston University's College of Communications where she graduated Cum Laude with a B.S degree in 1988. She received her J.D. degree from American University in Washington D.C. in 1991. Michelle began her legal career as an assistant public defender in West Palm Beach. Michelle specializes in criminal trial practice in both state and federal court. She is a Board Certified Criminal Trial lawyer and serves on the Florida Bar's Criminal Certification Committee. She is a past president of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Palm Beach County chapter. She has been recognized by the Governor's Office and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice for her initiation of the Breakfast and Books Mentoring Program. Michelle is also a legal analyst for TV and radio appearing regularly on CNN Headline News, Nancy Grace Show.
