Dear Friends of Legal Aid:

The 22nd Annual Pro Bono Recognition Evening & Auction will take place on Saturday, May 8th, 2010, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. This is the event to reaffirm your commitment to equal civil legal justice, while celebrating with honored guests, friends and colleagues, who all share in the same commitment to a fair and balanced justice system. Most importantly, the event raises critically needed funds to support Legal Aid's mission of providing free, high quality, civil legal advice, education and representation to the needy of Palm Beach County in order to ensure that no individual, child or family is left without a voice in our justice system.

This year, we are again faced with a multitude of challenges resulting from our country's current economic crisis. Although these financial problems affect every member of our community, the clients of Legal Aid are especially vulnerable and in need of your helping hands. In addition to our existing clientele, we have seen a steady influx of new clients, who have never had the need to seek our services before, but now find themselves in dire situations. We, unfortunately, expect this trend to continue through 2010. Thus, it is in the spirit of shared responsibility we all have to help those in need (especially in our own community), that we ask for your support.

This year's theme is MusicalMagic. The festivities will include food, music, decorations and performances all based on famous musicals. We would like our attendees to get in the spirit and experience the evening however they see fit, so although by no means required, dressing up as your favorite character from a musical is encouraged.
